Cooking steps

To prepare such meatballs, we first need to thoroughly wash the specified amount of rice, and then also boil it until half cooked. Mince sure to cook yourself from pork or beef, and preferably in half. Wash the selected piece of meat, dry and chop it very finely. Then mix the meat with pre-cooked rice. Clean onion bulb and grate on a medium grater or chop in a blender. Add the onion to the rest of the ingredients, send one chicken egg, salt and black pepper to the taste.

Stir the mince thoroughly until smooth. Beat it several times on a clean worktop or on the walls of the same bowl: this way it will turn out quite dense for further cooking.

With wet hands we form small balls from the resulting mincemeat as shown in the photo. After we roll out each ball in flour from all sides so that the frying process does not spoil the shape of the meatballs.

Heat the frying pan with vegetable oil and fry the meatballs baking on it to a confident golden crust.

We shift fried meatballs with rice in a deep pan. In a separate bowl, dilute the tomato paste in water, add salt and pour the balls in a saucepan with this liquid. At this stage, send laurel leaves to meatballs. Within 10 minutes, simmer the meatballs on low heat with the lid closed.

Now prepare an additional sauce. The specified amount of sour cream is diluted in half a glass of cold water.

Carefully pour one tablespoon of flour into the cup, mix it thoroughly so that no lumps form.

After 10 minutes, pour the croquettes in the saucepan with the resulting sour cream sauce, close the lid again and continue to simmer for another 20 minutes until fully cooked.

Meatballs with gravy for children must be juicy and tasty, otherwise the kids will not eat them. To prepare such a dish, we will use minced meat, which contains both pork and beef, and the pork is slightly fatty, so that the dish does not turn out to be rather dry.

If you wish, you can add boiled rice and boiled buckwheat to meatballs, but since I cooked meatballs with gravy for boiled rice, as a side dish, I decided to make pure meatballs. To avoid minced balls when stewing, be sure to add a chicken egg to the minced meat - it will link them, as it were. If the meat turns out to be slightly watery, do not panic, just add a little wheat flour and mix it.

If your children love tomato paste or tomatoes, then you can add them to the gravy, avoiding black pepper and garlic.

Place the minced meat in a deep container, beat in the same chicken egg, rub half of the peeled and washed onion on a fine grater, turning it almost into a porridge so that the onions are not felt in the meatballs after stewing. Pour 2 pinches of salt and 2 pinches of ground black pepper - such amount of spices will be almost imperceptible. Stir the stuffing thoroughly.

Peel the carrots and rinse in water. Rub on a coarse grater, and cut half of the remaining onion into small cubes. Vacuum vegetable slices in heated vegetable oil in a frying pan, place it on the stove and turn on medium heat.

Pour in 1 glass of hot water or broth and bring the contents of the pan to a boil. Form round meatballs out of the mince with wet hands and place them in the gravy.
