Baby food with exacerbation of gastritis

The key to a quick and effective recovery from gastritis is proper and healthy nutrition. Baby food, in turn, is enriched with vitamins, micro-and macro elements, it does not contain preservatives and it is convenient to use. The list of benefits should certify a patient with gastritis that using food for children will help them to properly cure the disease.

The use of different types of cereals with gastric ulcer and gastritis

Proper nutrition for stomach ulcers, can be varied and tasty. Customized diet contributes to recovery.

Eating often and in small portions, a gradual transition to the usual products, helps to restore the integrity of the mucous membrane. The main daily meal should be porridge for stomach ulcers. They are easily processed, envelop the walls without irritating them, contain the necessary list of useful elements.

Diet for illness

There are principles of nutrition. A patient who adheres to the rules of healthy eating will ensure high efficacy of therapy. The rules of gastritis diet are:

  • It is necessary to exclude the possibility of overeating. Portions are not more than 200 g.
  • Eating need to fractional way. 5-7 per day in portions, small in volume.
  • The consistency of the food is soft, enveloping the walls of the stomach.
  • Food temperature is not more than 36-38 degrees. Such food will not irritate the stomach wall.

Basic principles of nutrition for gastritis

Usually gastritis finds itself in the acute stage. There are characteristic, very unpleasant symptoms. To avoid them, you need to urgently begin treatment and immediately go on a strict diet. Diet for acute gastritis includes pureed or liquid food, not cold and not hot - so as not to irritate the gastric mucosa. During this period, you should not abuse salt and spices, you should abandon too sweet and sour dishes. The more fresh the food is, the easier it will be to digest a sick stomach.

Gradually, when leaving the acute stage, you can expand your diet, and add coarse food to the menu. Also differ diet with gastritis with high and low acidity. With increased acidity, it is recommended to drink milk, you can eat eggs in omelettes or boiled soft boiled eggs. Occasionally, you can eat yogurt and yogurt, but kefir is strictly forbidden to use. From fruit can be sweet apples, cherries, bananas, sweet pears and absolutely not citrus fruits. In other words, the diet should be aimed at reducing the level of acidity.

When gastritis with low acidity, whole milk is not recommended, it can only be added to cereals or other dishes. Dairy products and cottage cheese - the basis of the diet for this disease, they stimulate digestion. Among all fruits, preference should be given to sour varieties of apples, but you can eat any other. The exception is grapes.

The rest of the diet is the same. It is not recommended to eat hard-boiled eggs, fatty meats, smoked meats, fried foods, too salty foods. Irritating the stomach seeds and nuts, soda, kvass, any beans, chocolate and sweets. Alcohol is contraindicated.

Baby puree

In case of exacerbation of gastritis of any type, it is recommended to wipe or grind all food. Thus, baby puree is ideal for food in the acute period. Only here we should not forget that the baby puree can also be different, the whole thing in the composition. For example, acidic foods are contraindicated in cases of high acidity. So, mashed green apples, black currants and similar delicacies should not be eaten. But meat and vegetable puree will only be useful. Irritated stomach will be easier to digest food in a consistency.

In general, baby puree is an acceptable way of feeding, but for an adult it is necessary to buy it in large quantities. It will be easier to cook such a dish on your own, especially when it comes to seasonal vegetables and fruits. Like young children, hot milk can be added to the puree during cooking, then it will be more nutritious.

What is the difference between children's gastritis and adult

Children's gastritis is not much different from a similar disease in adults. Usually, the disease begins with inflammation of the gastric mucosa (outer side), which, with an incorrect diagnosis or late treatment, turns into a more serious form - inflammation of the inner wall of the stomach with the formation of small cracks and wounds. If in this case the symptoms of the disease are ignored, the cracks will transform into erosion, or ulcers, which will have to be healed for a long time. And one diet can not do, you will need and drug treatment, possibly in the hospital. So when the first symptoms of gastritis appear, you should immediately be examined.

The symptoms of gastritis in adults and children are the same. Each of them is triggered by changes in the digestive tract. For example:

  • Heartburn and belching. Usually the first is typical for adults, the second is more common in children. Often the burp is perceived by parents as a consequence of the fact that "the child ate something wrong." However, in the case of gastritis, belching has certain signs. First of all, this is the time of its appearance. Usually a burp appears about half an hour or an hour after a meal. When gastritis, it appears almost immediately. At the same time, the products can be neutral, but due to the fact that some changes in the activity of the digestive organs have already occurred, even a small portion can provoke a strong belch. If the appearance of belching has become more frequent, it is necessary to sniff it. Even if it is a belching by air, you should not relax. This option is typical for the initial stage of the disease. If belching has an unpleasant smell, for example, rotten eggs, a visit to the doctor can not be delayed. This is a sign of serious irregularities in the work of the stomach. And quite bad if the burp has a bitter taste. In this case, the disease could affect not only the stomach, but also the duodenum (bitterness occurs because semi-digested food is thrown from the duodenum into the stomach, so that the hydrochloric acid contained in the gastric juice and bile also have a negative effect on the walls of the latter.
  • Pain sensations. If a child, during or after a meal, clings to the stomach in the stomach, you need to be alert. Watch how long it lasts, ask more about sensations. Most often, the child can not say exactly where it hurts. But to describe exactly how, cuts or whines, capable. The severity of the stomach indicates that food is digested incorrectly, therefore it is retained in the stomach. It happens that in certain types of gastritis the esophagus narrows, so even small portions can cause pain.
  • Constipation alternated with diarrhea. These symptoms are often perceived as symptoms of food poisoning. Gastritis can only be recognized with other symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting.
  • Vomiting during gastritis appears in the later stages, when the stomach is not able to digest even light foods. If blood is present in the vomit, gastritis has passed into a serious stage. Bloody blotches indicate that the gastric mucosa gradually exfoliates and is excreted along with vomit.
  • Constant weakness and insomnia. These symptoms arise from the fact that the body does not receive the required amount of nutrients. More precisely, they come, but the inflamed stomach is not able to assimilate them. Together with weakness, the child loses his appetite. Loss of appetite may also be associated with the fact that any meal provokes the appearance of pain. Often children are embarrassed to tell their parents about this.

How different foods affect gastritis in children

Whatever the products included in the children's diet during gastritis, they should not mechanically affect the mucous membrane. This is especially important in the second and third stages of gastritis, when the mucous membrane is covered with cracks and sores. Even small pieces of food can cause bleeding, which is signaled by cutting pain and vomiting of blood.

In addition, products must be neutral in terms of stimulating the release of digestive enzymes. That is why all smoked foods, sweets (including pastries and desserts with fat cream), any seasonings (including salt), soda and fast food are excluded from the diet of children and adults.

In the preparation of the diet during gastritis, it is important to remember about the compatibility of products. The food that can be easily absorbed by the stomach of adults in children can provoke another attack of exacerbation or a feeling of heaviness in the stomach. No matter how useful protein foods, even if steamed, are impossible to mix them with fiber and fiber-rich foods, otherwise indigestion can be made. So meat is better to use in the form of souffle and with vegetables, steamed (except cabbage). Vegetables can also be combined with porridges boiled in water with the addition of a small amount of butter (not more than 20 g). But to mix porridge and meat is not recommended.

The mechanism of influence of dietary foods for children with gastritis is as follows:

  1. At the initial stage it is necessary to minimize the load on the inflamed stomach. If gastritis has worsened, the menu should include only dietary broths cooked from lean meat (preferably chicken) or vegetables, as well as pureed food - vegetable-mashed soups and porridge on water.
  2. In chronic gastritis, products are selected based on the diagnosis. If gastritis with high acidity, the menu should be as neutral as possible, that is, all acidic foods, including dairy products, are excluded.

  • breakfast - porridge on water (oatmeal, rice, millet) or a soft-boiled egg, one slice of white bread with a thin layer of butter, weakly brewed tea with milk,
  • the second breakfast - steamed vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, potatoes), fruit jelly,
  • lunch - fish broth with potatoes, chicken fillet steak, dried fruit compote,
  • afternoon tea - dry biscuits (5 pcs.), a glass of milk,
  • dinner - casserole of acid cottage cheese, baked apple, weakly brewed tea.

If gastritis is of low acidity, products are introduced into the menu that can eliminate this deficiency. Approximate diet for gastritis with low acidity:

  • breakfast - buckwheat porridge with milk and a piece of butter (20 g), 1 soft-boiled egg, rosehip decoction,
  • the second breakfast - protein omelet with braised carrots, jelly,
  • dinner - vegetable broth with rice or pasta, steamed lean fish souffle, fruit compote,
  • afternoon tea - crackers made of white bread (5 pcs.), a glass of low-fat kefir,
  • dinner - casserole of vegetables and pasta, fruit salad, weakly brewed tea.
  1. As the mucous membrane recovers to the menu, it is necessary to add products that stimulate the production of gastric juice. If at the initial stage, excessive secretion of digestive enzymes provoked even more inflammation, then at this stage the stomach should be gradually adapted to the usual dishes. Therefore, more fresh vegetables and fruits are introduced into the diet, instead of pureed food, preference is given to finely chopped products.

Food options for gastritis

After an accurate diagnosis is made, the doctor prescribes a special diet for the child - the table. The list of products for adults and children is the same. Options for baby food in the treatment of gastritis are as follows:

  • Table number 1. It is prescribed for the treatment of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. This power option is the most stringent, because it is necessary to follow this mode for at least six months. A more benign option is table number 1a, which is assigned during the exacerbation period. For the recovery period, table No. 16 is used. The basis of food in both tables is mash porridge, pureed soups and meat dishes cooked in the form of a souffle.
  • Table No. 2. If a child or adult has been diagnosed with chronic gastritis with low acidity, this option is used. Its basis is steamed, boiled or baked vegetables, soups with the addition of cereals, low-fat dairy products, fruit jelly and steamed meat. If, in the previous version, the dishes should be consumed in the shabby form, in this case the food pieces should be small.
  • Table number 15. This option is the most democratic, since strict restrictions on cooking are removed. Even frying is allowed here, but with a small amount of oil. A large amount of fresh vegetables and fruits, milk jelly, mousses and berries are introduced into the diet.

Diet during exacerbation and remission

Diet during remission

Exacerbation of gastric ulcer means a violation of the protective sheath. Open sores should be protected from aggressive gastric acid. This can make food. First of all, properly cooked porridge. Cereals should:

  • Digest quickly.
  • Envelop the stomach.
  • Contain beneficial substances.
  • Restore energy.

These qualities have porridge, the first in baby food:

In the period of acute gastric ulcers, they should be boiled in water, without salt, and made liquid. Helping the action of drugs will be ground, or whipped with a blender, porridge without salt, lumps, warm. During the remission period, the cereals can be boiled on milk, and you can add pureed boiled vegetables. Salt for taste is minimal. The dish is better to salt ready, before use.

Buckwheat dishes are full of useful elements.

Buckwheat with a gastric and duodenal ulcer

According to the content of nutrients among the croup, buckwheat is the leader in gastric ulcer. It contains:

  • Amino acids.
  • Vitamins.
  • Mineral salts.
  • Trace elements

The number and composition of amino acids is similar to meat. But they are more accessible to the body form, are not bound by fiber and are easily digested. It is amino acids that contribute to the creation of new tissues by spreading minerals through the blood. It is recommended to eat buckwheat during an exacerbation. Prepare it on the water, wipe. The resulting product should be homogeneous, liquid.

During remission, buckwheat porridge is boiled with milk, or it can be added to the finished dish. Diversify the menu with butter, vegetable and fruit puree, which was wiped after peeling. Products are added to the finished dish before use. Prepare, for a stomach ulcer, buckwheat milk soup and vegetable puree.

Boiled rice cleans the stomach

Boiled rice in gastric disease

Can black and red rice with an ulcer? The product turns out as a result of processing, contains harmful substances. Benefit will bring only white polished rice. When cooking, it releases starch that envelops the walls. Due to its structure, rice has an absorptive capacity, removes toxins from the intestines, slags, restores motility.

Prepared semi-liquid pureed rice porridge must be eaten during the period of exacerbation. Groats contain protein in an easily digestible form, it is processed, envelops the walls, protecting them from irritation and promoting the healing of damaged tissues. Protein is the main material in the construction of cells. It comes directly to the tissues and contributes to the overgrowing of wounds.

Is it possible to cook various dishes from rice with an ulcer? Need to! Steamed croquettes, side dishes, soups and porridges with the addition of vegetables, fruits, fish.

Semolina and oatmeal restore after exacerbation

Semolina with stomach ulcers

Oatmeal, boiled on water, wiped, semi-liquid, is necessary for nutrition during an exacerbation of an ulcer, during medication and after surgery. When boiling, starch and protein are released. They form mucus that protects the walls of the stomach. During the recovery period, you should prepare a liquid porridge, wipe it through a sieve to prevent the shell and solid particles from entering. It is better to use whole, cleaned grain.

The semolina does not have a shell, it boils loose quickly. The content of fiber and vitamins in it contributes to the rapid recovery of strength, especially if the porridge is cooked in milk with the addition of butter. Is it possible to eat porridge during exacerbation? Only cooked on water, with the addition of a small amount of milk, liquid and warm, without salt.

Porridge of semolina and oatmeal are considered the main product for the disease and treatment of gastric ulcers. After treatment, they should be regularly included in the diet. You can cook with milk, add butter, steamed vegetables, steam cutlets, fish.

Is it possible dishes from hard cereals

What cereal can be for gastritis and gastric ulcer

Dishes prepared from hard cereals are processed for a long time, provoking an increase in the acid content in gastric juice. Coarse membranes can irritate and scratch the surface of the stomach. You should avoid cereals and soups with cereals:

  • Corn.
  • Rice is not polished.
  • Perlovka.

Boil on the water until fully prepared, so that the grains are turned, rub and add stewed carrots, apples, pumpkin. Cook no more than 2 times a week, when the patient feels good. Eat better for lunch.

Even young corn in their heads stew for more than 2 hours. Groats are made from ripe, hard grains. After long treatment, they remain rough, they are not processed, they traumatize the walls of the stomach and intestines, and violate peristalsis.

Effective treatment of gastritis in children

As you know, not only adults, but also children are affected by gastritis. Predisposition to this disease can be both hereditary and resulting in life activity.

Infection with gastritis is quite simple. Most often, the infection occurs in a circle of relatives or among very close people. Infection occurs through food, kisses, dirty hands, dishes, etc. But the first symptoms do not begin to appear immediately, but only after several years from the moment of infection.

So, for example, even the weakest pains in gastritis begin only after 2 or 3 years from the moment of infection. It is important to know that any harmful food serves as a catalyst for this pain, i.e. the pain may not give itself away for a long time, but after eating chips or soda it may suddenly appear.

Causes and symptoms

The main risk zone includes children of middle and high school age. It was during this period that a very large physical and emotional load was imposed on children, and a serious neglect of nutrition took place.

It should be noted that not only poor nutrition and neglect of the regimen can cause illness, but also stress causes gastritis from time to time. Physical and emotional stress greatly affects children, which causes deterioration in the blood circulation of the gastric mucosa, which in adulthood can lead to such an unpleasant disease as pancreatitis.

Below is a list of the main symptoms for diagnosing gastritis:

  • aching pain in the stomach after eating,
  • frequent belching and bad breath,
  • decrease or complete lack of appetite
  • during the meal you do not want to eat a lot, even the smallest portions cause a feeling of satisfied hunger.

Gastritis is a serious disease that only a doctor can diagnose. Do not neglect going to the hospital, because both the child’s current health and his future health depend on it. Gastritis in the early stages or only at the beginning of its development can be easily reassured. Yes, it is impossible to fully recover from it, but the effect of this disease can be maximally weakened. Many parents are beginning to wonder how to treat gastritis in children.

The most common treatment for gastritis is medication. If the disease is caused by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, then the doctor will most likely prescribe a whole course of drugs that can stop the development of gastritis and reduce pain.

Diet remains one of the most effective ways to treat gastritis. With such a diet, fresh bakery products, meat (only poultry and fish can be consumed), various sauces, such as ketchup and mayonnaise, should be excluded from the diet. It is not difficult to guess that fried foods should also be excluded. The diet should include low-fat dairy products. Milk in its pure form can not be drunk.

Many parents are interested in whether it is possible to defeat gastritis with diets alone. It is worth considering that even a strict diet will not be able to save the child from the disease. No need to rely only on her. The diet will be as effective as possible only if the child is taken away to nature, limited in communication with others, and all products are as fresh as possible from their vegetable garden. It becomes clear that these are too utopian conditions to be a reality.

But even strict adherence to the rules and diets, taking the right medications and constant visits to the doctor will not be able to completely cure the child of gastritis. The disease will remain in any case, and under severe stress or a new seasonal exacerbation will show itself. Diet and medication only help minimize harm.

All that was written above applies only to gastritis, which was caused by Helicobacter pylori bacteria. In the event that gastritis occurs in a child on the basis of stress, there are several other tips on how to cope with it:

  • the child should have the correct mode of sleep and rest and get enough sleep
  • it is necessary to reduce the emotional load both at home and at school, including it is necessary to limit the child in computer games that cause intense excitement,
  • you need to strengthen the autonomic nervous system of the child, hardening and rubbing with a hard towel are excellent in this,
  • you need to organize for the child the right diet, which is important to strictly observe,
  • Examination and registration with a gastroenterologist is required.

It is possible to treat gastritis in children with the help of drugs that were previously prescribed by the attending physician. Below is a list of medications that are most often used in the fight against gastritis in children:

  • Phosphalugel,
  • Smecta
  • Activated carbon,
  • Mezim,
  • Pancreatin.

This is just a small list, which includes the main drugs. To accurately diagnose the degree of gastritis, you must immediately go to the hospital. Only a doctor will be able to prescribe an effective and balanced treatment for the child, which can remove severe pain and reduce the number of symptoms.

Children's diet

Diet for gastritis is really very important. It helps to reduce the stomach pain in a child and normalizes its nutrition.

Here are the main points that a child must observe when dieting against gastritis:

  1. Meals should be constant, in small portions, 4-5 times a day. It must be strictly on time. In this case, the child’s stomach will get used to the established regimen and will not bother so often. It is important that the portions are really small.
  2. All products should be as fresh as possible. Food for the child should be prepared right before use. A child with gastritis should not be given food that has been cooked long ago. This rule also applies to food that has been frozen, as pre-cooled food for preservation is also not the best choice for a child with gastritis.
  3. Food should in no case be cooked by frying, especially in oil. All food must be cooked or steamed. This rule affects both meat and vegetables. It is not recommended to add salt when cooking food, even in small quantities.
  4. Properly composed menu plays perhaps the most important role. Children with gastritis can eat any cereals that were cooked without milk, steam cutlets or steam side dish, diet soups, lean meats (chicken or fish is best, but beef is allowed). As for meat, it is better to pre-scald it in the broth, and then pull it out and eat it. It is important to remember that the broth itself cannot be consumed, since all the harmful substances from the meat are digested into the broth. As for drinks, fruit drinks, unsweetened compotes and teas, mineral water are allowed. Coffee and soft drinks are strictly prohibited.
  5. Sweets are almost completely limited. You can only eat galetnye cookies.
  6. Diet should be especially strictly observed in the early stages of the disease. When symptoms begin to subside, you can loosen your diet a little.

It is also worth considering that for different cases the diet is individual. To find the most effective diet for an individual case, you need to contact a specialist.

Acute gastritis

Acute gastritis is a fleeting illness that appears suddenly and just as suddenly goes away. Most often the culprit of acute gastritis becomes ordinary everyday food. The main reason is a burn of the gastric mucosa. This disease is characteristic of young children, who are accustomed to eating everything indiscriminately and can swallow something that violates the integrity of the stomach.

Most often, this type of gastritis is accompanied by very severe pain in the stomach, as well as nausea and vomiting. But to pacify many mothers, it should be noted that often acute gastritis is superficial and passes very quickly and without a trace. Acute gastritis in severe form is very dangerous, so at the first signs you need to contact a gastroenterologist so that the treatment is carried out promptly.

Chronic gastritis

Chronic gastritis is the most common type of gastritis in children. It is distinguished by its long duration. The pain does not go on constantly, but appears only during seasonal exacerbations, more often during the period of beriberi, i.e. fall or spring. Chronic chronic gastritis differs from acute gastritis in that it appears slowly and the symptoms are very weak. In the early stages it is difficult to understand that this is gastritis, and not just a slight upset stomach.

Most often, chronic gastritis is caused by a weakening of the immune system and the gastric mucosa, due to which the latter is no longer as effectively protected from the aggressive environment as before.

It is impossible to get rid of chronic gastritis completely, it will accompany the child throughout his life. But to ease the symptoms and reduce the number of seasonal exacerbations, of course, you can.

The first symptoms of chronic gastritis:

  • heartburn and persistent abdominal pain, especially after eating,
  • unpleasant smell from the mouth and belching,
  • the child's condition deteriorated dramatically,
  • constant nausea.

The symptoms of common acute and chronic gastritis are quite similar. In order to accurately and surely diagnose the extent of the disease, it is necessary to consult a doctor and undergo a complex of tests and research. This is the only way to find the most effective treatment for a child.

It is impossible to joke with the child's health, therefore even the smallest and most insignificant symptom should be perceived as a disturbing bell for parents.

Diet during exacerbation of gastritis

An important role in the treatment of the inflammatory process in the gastric mucosa is played by proper nutrition, therefore, the diet with exacerbation of gastritis is along with drug therapy. This form of gastritis is accompanied by painful symptoms, which significantly impairs the quality of life of the patient. To correct the situation and get rid of unpleasant sensations, it is necessary to correct the menu and exclude from it all products that are capable of irritating an already inflamed organ. To make it easier to get used to the new diet, nutritionists recommend to paint for the week an exemplary menu.

Features of the diet with gastritis in the acute stage

Hot or, conversely, cold dishes, spices, pickles and seasonings are provoking factors for the exacerbation of gastritis. To avoid inflammation on the mucous membrane, it is necessary to abandon such food, which is able to irritate the walls of the stomach and intensify the inflammatory process on them. In case of gastritis at the stage of exacerbation, one should strictly adhere to the therapeutic diet and in the first days it is important to completely refuse to eat.

Gastroenterologists recommend drinking only liquid, it can be mineral water, warm, weakly brewed tea and wild rose water, which you need to consume at least 2 liters per day.

On the second and subsequent days, the patient needs to gradually expand his diet and include products that are steamed or boiled and without the addition of spices and salt. Food during exacerbation of gastritis has the following features:

  • food should be rubbed, as the rough pieces are hard digested, which is not under the strength of a weakened stomach,
  • the number of meals per day should be at least 5, while portions should be made small and avoid overeating,
  • food should be consumed at the optimum temperature, it should not be too hot and cold,
  • cooking technology eliminates roasting products, only steaming or boiling is allowed,
  • The use of fatty and hard-to-digest foods, such as seeds, nuts and chocolate, is contraindicated
  • the duration of a strict diet can reach 14 days, but in some cases 7 days are enough,
  • in medicine, a diet for acute gastritis is referred to as “Table No. 5a”.

A glass of purified water in the morning will help to clear the body of mucus accumulated overnight.

In addition, for the treatment of both acute and chronic gastritis, it is important to observe the following recommendations, which will help to quickly recover the inflamed gastric mucosa:

  • Drink a glass of purified water in the morning on an empty stomach. This method will help to clear the body of mucus accumulated during the night.
  • Avoid stressful situations. In case of nervous overstrain, irritation of the gastric mucosa occurs through signals from the cerebral cortex.
  • Follow the diet. Eating food should be fractional and preferably at the same time, this will avoid unnecessary production of gastric juice.
  • Include in the diet a sufficient amount of fiber. With its help, the work of the stomach is stimulated and cleansed.

What can you eat?

Gastroenterologists recommend including products in the diet that have a beneficial effect on the gastric mucosa. These include:

  • cream,
  • skim cheese,
  • lean meat and fish,
  • boiled soft-boiled eggs,
  • milk,
  • olive oil,
  • pasta casseroles,
  • frayed puddings,
  • hard soft cheese
  • butter, but not more than 50 g per day,
  • protein omelet,
  • wild rose water
  • buckwheat, semolina,
  • diluted fruit juices,
  • green tea,
  • vegetable puree,
  • berry jelly.

Sausages and sausages are prohibited during the exacerbation.

During the period of exacerbation of gastritis or in its chronic form, products with pronounced acidity, taste and sharpness, as well as enhancing gastric activity, are equally contraindicated. The list of banned products is as follows:

  • alcoholic beverages,
  • sausages and nipples,
  • strong tea and coffee
  • smoked meats
  • kvass,
  • chocolate,
  • pickled vegetables,
  • fat,
  • dried flakes
  • tomatoes and tomato paste,
  • mushrooms,
  • processed cheese,
  • ice cream.

Exacerbation and reduced acidity of the stomach

In acute gastritis, the patient is worried about the following symptoms: heartburn, feeling of heaviness in the stomach, dull pain in the abdomen after eating, bloating, flatulence, belching, as well as putrid breath. To avoid this symptoms, the patient is recommended to eat as follows:

  • To eat steam cakes, pasta, cottage cheese.
  • Drink lightly brewed tea with milk.
  • Instead of fresh bread, use crackers.
  • Include greens and fruits in the treatment menu.

The diet should last at least 30 days and throughout the entire period the patient needs to evaluate his state of health. The main objective is to minimize the inflammatory process and further it is important that the production of hydrochloric acid be resumed. To do this, it is recommended to eat pickled cucumbers, to eat broth from meat, and also, according to doctors, it will be useful to drink freshly squeezed lemon juice of weak concentration. When gastritis is accompanied by a low level of hydrochloric acid in the gastric juice, it is contraindicated for the patient to use baking, whole milk, raisins, prunes and fresh bread.

Recipes of popular dishes

Treatment of chronic gastritis or its exacerbation is carried out using diet table number 5, which includes various dishes, the following are considered the most popular:

  • Rice and corn soup. For its preparation it is necessary to boil the meat, cut into cubes, and rice for 20 minutes. Add diced potatoes to the broth and when it is ready, pour out the prepared rice and corn. Soup can be slightly salted and add greens to it.
  • Rice porridge with pumpkin. You need to boil 0.5 kg of pumpkin pulp with a small amount of sugar and in parallel cook until ready 10 large tablespoons of rice. Make a mashed pumpkin and add it to the rice, mix the porridge and pour with melted butter.
  • Cottage cheese and carrot casserole. To prepare it, rub 3 pcs. carrots and stew it until tender with 150 ml of milk, a tablespoon of butter and 3 large spoons of honey. When the carrot is cooked, semolina is added to it and kept on fire for a few more minutes. Mix half a kilogram of cottage cheese with 3 eggs, salt, a tablespoon of starch and sugar to taste. Cooked carrots are added to the curd, mixed and baked in the oven for 30–45 minutes at 180 ° C.

Sample menu for the week

Nutritionists recommend that patients with aggravation of gastritis paint an approximate menu for 7 days in advance and stick to it throughout the entire therapeutic course, only periodically alternating between dishes. Such a system will facilitate the daily torment about: "What to cook today?", And provide the patient's diet with all the necessary foodstuffs.

In general, I sat on a diet for half a year, I do not remember the whole list, but I remember that porridge and a lot of cereals. chocolate, soda, mayonnaise, etc. - in the trash! boiled chicken meat, purees, vegetables and fruits, but not all, some provoke gastritis.

milk was like it was impossible ... but I do not remember exactly ..

and plus tons of pills.

Food for gastritis: basic principles

What is a diet?

Diet is a special diet. It includes food, meals and drinks that spare the gastric mucosa and are able to adjust the intensity of the secretion of gastric juice.

When gastritis has not yet led to abnormalities of the stomach wall and manifests itself with a small degree of intensity, rational nutrition is enough to overcome the ailment.

Gastritis diets are not just a list of permitted and prohibited foods. This is a special approach to nutrition, which involves the observance of important principles:

  • Restriction in food in the first two days of the acute stage of the disease. Some doctors recommend at all to refuse food in the first hours of an aggravation, having arranged a fasting day. Cool, weak tea and non-carbonated mineral water are allowed. This approach will allow the stomach to "rest" from digesting food and restore efficiency.
  • From the second day of exacerbation, they include liquid oatmeal, jelly, low-fat mashed potatoes on the water and soft-boiled eggs.
  • Eating should be fractional - in small portions during the day. The optimal mode - 5-6 meals every 3-4 hours. It is not allowed to increase the number of “approaches” and take long breaks between them. Eating at night is also impossible - the last meal should be 3 hours before bedtime.
  • Drink fluids (tea, juice, water) should be at least half an hour after a meal. Water reduces the concentration of gastric juices, thereby complicating digestion. Allowed to drink a glass of water without gas before eating.
  • If possible, eat unsalted dishes and try to cook food without salt.
  • Preferably one-component dishes for gastritis, in which several products are not mixed at once. Food should be simple and useful - so the stomach will not be overloaded.
  • In the process of eating, you need to chew every piece and every spoon carefully - the food will undergo preliminary processing in the oral cavity, and it will be easier for the stomach to cope with digestion.
  • There is a strict ban on dry meal and snacks on the go or in a hurry.
  • In acute conditions, the ban applies to all raw vegetables and fruits.
  • The temperature of the dishes should be comfortable, hot or cold foods irritate the stomach even more.
  • Food for gastritis is better to cook for a maximum of 2 days. If the dishes are stored longer, their nutritional value is lost and most of the beneficial vitamins are destroyed.
  • Store ready meals should be only in the refrigerator, before meals to warm to a pleasant temperature.
  • For cooking, use only fresh products purchased at trusted outlets. Otherwise, food poisoning with severe intoxication may be added to gastritis.
  • Give preference to products without preservatives, dyes, harmful food additives and flavor enhancers.

Patients suffering from gastritis, do not give up physical exertion. On the contrary, exercise with moderate exercise, swimming, yoga will contribute to the speedy digestion of food. Also, special attention should be paid to a healthy lifestyle - do not smoke, do not consume alcoholic beverages, observe the daily regimen.

  • Oatmeal in the form of flakes - dish No. 1 in the list of allowed products for gastritis. The liquid consistency of porridge cooked in water or milk helps relieve stomach cramps and reduces inflammation. Porridge used as a side dish or dessert, adding sugar, permitted fruit and dried fruits.
  • Semolina - quickly boiled soft and has a mucous consistency, contributes to the accelerated splitting of carbohydrates, fats and protein.
  • Millet. Millet porridge is rough even after cooking, therefore it is better to take it in small quantities, and in case of hyperacid gastritis it is worth refusing.
  • Rice - sparing, which after cooking forms mucus, enveloping the walls of the stomach. Pureed rice porridge can be eaten during exacerbation of gastritis with low and high acidity. If the disease is accompanied by constipation, rice can not be eaten.
  • Barley porridge well envelops the mucous membrane of the stomach. But you need to cook it properly - boil it in water, waiting for the cereal to be completely cooked while maintaining the liquid consistency of the dish.
  • Buckwheat is a panacea for high acidity. Good buckwheat, boiled in the form of milk soup, it is rich in protein and iron.
  • Wheat cereal is allowed in the remission stage of the disease, since hard grains are poorly digested and irritate the stomach. When cooking, they achieve complete cooking and the mucous consistency of the porridge.

When drafting a diet, it is imperative to carry out a diagnosis to determine the level of acidity and secretory function of the stomach. With general dietary recommendations, food with gastritis with high and low acidity can differ significantly.

Diet number 1

This is a diet with gastritis with high acidity.

It is better to serve dishes in shabby, steamed or boiled. Roasting is allowed, but without a crust. In addition to the above prohibited positions, the list includes:

  • Pastry, puffs,
  • Cereals from millet, corn, yachts, barley,
  • Borsch, skewers,
  • Greens - garlic, sorrel and spinach,
  • Sour, immature, fiber-rich fruits and berries,
  • Eggs fried and hard boiled,
  • Kefir and ryazhenka,
  • All kinds of citrus.

The diet is complete, it includes the optimal amount of substances necessary for the normal functioning of human organs and systems, improving the state of the stomach.

Only a doctor can prescribe a diet for chronic gastritis. If the child has pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen, belching or heartburn - immediately contact a specialist. It is better to consult a gastroenterologist. He will conduct a number of additional studies and analyzes, which will make it possible to specify the diagnosis and determine the associated diseases. After the examination, the specialist will decide which treatment table to prescribe (taking into account the pathologies the baby has).

There are several prescribed treatment tables for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. However, the basic purpose of the appointment is to determine the leading disease that causes the most adverse symptoms for the baby.

If, after examination, the doctor determined that the child has chronic gastritis, one should follow a therapeutic diet for life.

It includes some basic rules:

  • All food must be very well ground. It is not allowed to use large pieces. All meat products should be minced. In the first days of the onset of the disease, food with a more liquid consistency is recommended. For kids from 6 years old, you can already make food more thick and not as scrubbed as for kids.
  • It is not allowed to use hot, burning food. All dishes should be cooled to a comfortable temperature. This is approximately 35-40 degrees. For children of preschool age, food can be cooled to room temperature or slightly higher (no more than 30 degrees). This will promote healing of the inflamed inner wall of the stomach.
  • All products with a strong sharp or sour taste are strictly prohibited! You should not eat food that is fried. All dishes with crispy fried crust should also be excluded.
  • Meals in small portions at a specific time. In diseases of the stomach, food intake plays an important (even a leading) role in treatment. If you feed on the regime, by a certain time, enzymes and digestive juices begin to be produced. If the food does not arrive at the appointed hour, the stomach becomes inflamed and gastritis appears. Feed your baby at least 5-6 times a day, at a certain time!
  • Cook at home whenever possible. So you will know exactly what ingredients are put into the dishes. If the baby eats in the kindergarten, talk to the caregiver and explain why your child is sick. In preschool institutions, children now take into account the diseases and prepare meals separately. If a child attends school, be sure to check out the school menu. If it is not suitable for feeding your child, prepare food at home in advance and take it to your baby with you.

What products should be included in the menu?

If a child is diagnosed with chronic gastritis, then throughout his life he must follow a special diet. It is aimed at preventing exacerbations and ensuring adequate functioning of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract.

What can be attributed to the safest products that should be used for diseases of the stomach? We read further.

All kinds of cereal porridge

They should form the basis of nutrition for young patients with diseases of the stomach. Cereals are easily digested without overloading the body. They contain a huge amount of vegetable protein, fiber. This contributes to the physiological cleansing of the body and prevents the development of adverse symptoms in diseases of the digestive system.

Low-fat protein foods

Prefer rabbit or turkey. They contain in their composition a lot of high-grade protein, which is an excellent building material for the growth of the child's body. They have almost no fat, so they are easily digested. When processing in the stomach, they do not damage its walls. In short, this is a great product for the growth and health of babies!

Sweet fruit

Usually, many medical diets exclude such food, but kids with stomach ailments can eat fruit quite calmly. They will not harm.

Moreover, sweet fruits are excellent sources of vitamins, especially in the summer. All sour berries and fruits are excluded from the children's menu, as they can cause inflammation of the stomach wall.

You can use almost any vegetables in your diet. During the aggravation, it is better to bake or steam them. Raw vegetables can cause indigestion and increase pain in the tummy of a baby. Choose all kinds of cauliflower and broccoli, carrots, potatoes, zucchini. They contain many trace elements that are necessary for the work of children's immunity.

Acute or chronic form?

The diagnosis of "gastritis" unites different in the course of the disease: in acute or chronic form.

Acute gastritis is manifested by a sudden deterioration of the child’s well-being, accompanied by repeated or repeated vomiting, stomach pain, possible fever, loss of appetite, weakness. The diagnosis of parents - “ate something”, partly true. “Something” may turn out to be benign, but not suitable for age or volume of food containing pathogens or food toxins. A reasonable approach of parents to treatment will help the child get rid of the disease forever. A timely visit to the doctor, compliance with the terms and volumes of therapy ensures quick recovery without a transition to a chronic course.

Chronic gastritis is a constant change in the phases of recovery and exacerbations. The goal of treatment is to make the periods of extinction of the symptoms of the disease (remission) longer and the exacerbations (relapses) to be minimized.

Impaired acid-forming function

In the chronic course of the manifestation of the disease is not limited to inflammatory changes of the mucous membrane, also revealed violations of the acid-forming function of the stomach.

Hence the classification of gastritis according to the degree of acidity:

  • with saved (normal)
  • with increased (hyperacidosis),
  • with reduced (hypoacidosis).

A child of primary school age is quite difficult to describe their feelings. One of the complaints draws attention to itself - “a stomach ache”. What kind of pain: aching, local, diffuse, arching, difficult to assess. Pain persists 2-3 hours after eating, accompanied by nausea, belching, and sometimes vomiting.

An experienced doctor before the examination may suspect what kind of gastritis in a child: with high or low acidity.

For hyperacid gastritis, pains on an empty stomach and after ingestion of fatty and fried foods, sour and spicy foods are typical. Appetite is preserved, but the child has excessive irritability, heartburn, sour belching, a tendency to constipation.

With hypoacid gastritis, appetite worsens, pain regularly appears after eating, the child is worried about nausea, occasionally vomiting, feeling of heaviness in the abdomen, belching with an unpleasant smell of a rotten egg, periodic relaxation of the stool, increased fatigue.

The examination helps to identify the acidity of the gastric juice and the degree of damage to the mucous membrane. What to do next? Treat! And if the doctor takes responsibility for drug therapy, then the parents are obliged to provide the child with special diet food.

Dietary tables on Pevzner

Long-term child compliance with the diet is often alarming for parents. What to feed, how to cook, what foods are strictly prohibited for consumption? Come up with nothing. All on the shelves, or rather on the dietary tables, has long been laid out by Manuel Pevzner.

An outstanding Russian doctor has developed 15 unique dietary tables for each disease of the digestive organs, taking into account the phase of the disease, course and disruption of the acid-forming function. For over 100 years, his works have been gratefully used by doctors and patients.

Dietary tables number 1, 1a, 1b, 2 are intended for gastritis diet therapy:

  • No. 1 - for chronic gastritis with high acidity without exacerbation (for 6-12 weeks),
  • No. 1a - in the acute form of gastritis and chronic in the period of exacerbation (until the disappearance of the expressed clinical manifestations of the disease),
  • No. 1b - in the stage of unstable recovery (until full normalization of well-being)
  • No. 2 - in the treatment of gastritis with reduced acidity.

Basic principles

The purpose of dietary tables is to minimize further irritation of the gastric mucosa and reduce the burden on its secretory functions. “Food should be gentle - thermally, mechanically and chemically”, - this phrase as a postulate repeated by nutritionists and pediatricians in the appointment of treatment. In other words:

  • food is served only in the form of heat,
  • irritating foods are excluded: spicy, fatty, pickled, salted, sour, carbonated and smoked,
  • hard-to-digest foods are prohibited: legumes, mushrooms, fatty or stringy meat, fruits with thick skin,
  • rich broths are contraindicated in vegetables, meat and fish.

Against the background of treatment, strict adherence to the day regimen with a full night’s rest, 6 meals a day strictly by the hour (every day at the same time) and a favorable psychological atmosphere during the meal are necessary.

In the acute form of gastritis

In acute gastritis, the most stringent table number 1a is appointed. Within 2-3 days the child receives 6 times a day, small portions of food. The caloric content of such a therapeutic diet does not exceed 2000-2200 kcal per day. This is achieved by reducing the amount of carbohydrates in the diet, fat and partially - proteins.

The menu excludes vegetables and fruits in their natural form, dairy products, flour products, spices, sauces, spices, coffee and carbonated drinks.

Steam dishes are served to the children's table, or cooked using the salt-restricted cooking method:

  • mucous soups from rice, semolina or oatmeal with cream or butter,
  • boiled meat of low-fat varieties, minced (veal, chicken, rabbit),
  • boiled fish or steam soufflé of low-fat fish (instead of meat),
  • steamed omelet with milk,
  • pureed porridge of liquid consistency of rice, oatmeal, semolina or buckwheat on water with cream and milk,
  • dairy-based or fruit-based kissels, tea with added milk, dogrose broth, warm non-fat milk.

Sample menu for diet number 1a

As the acute symptoms fade, the assortment of dishes expands with switching to table No. 1b.

At the stage of unstable recovery

Dietary dishes table number 1b contribute to the further normalization of the gastric mucosa, and are appointed for a period of 5-7 days. Sour foods (pickles, fruits and berries), rich broths and white cabbage, the strongest stimulator of gastric acid secretion, are excluded from the diet.

The food is cooked in a liquid and mushy consistency by steaming or boiling. Steam patties and wheat crackers appear in the list of dishes, and rubbed muffins are served instead of mucous soups. The energy value is somewhat reduced due to the restriction on carbohydrates, but at the same time it practically corresponds to the norm of 2600 kcal.

Advantages and disadvantages

Baby food has several advantages over simple food. Among them are the following items:

  • product quality (tested by sanitary and hygienic authorities),
  • lack of food additives, flavor enhancers, GMOs, preservatives, dyes,
  • ease of transportation,
  • available variety of products (meat, vegetables, fruits).

Disadvantages of infant food for gastritis in adults:

  • high cost of production,
  • low calorie,
  • small amount of fiber.

Gastritis baby food for adults

With its characteristics, such products benefit from simple dishes, but the question whether it is possible to use them for gastritis in adults is acute. No negative answer. Such food does not have enough fiber, dietary fiber that performs a particularly important task in the process of forming the intestinal tract environment, but on the other hand, such products are very useful, all dangerous and unhealthy substances and the lack of vitamins and microelements necessary for the body are extracted from them. can be reimbursed by greens and whole grain crops. The conclusion is: the diet for gastritis should not consist only of baby food. It needs to be enriched with foods full of fiber and dietary fiber.

Increased acidity

If such a diagnosis is made to an adult, then the menu should contain mucous porridges, fruits and vegetables. Products should not be consumed in natural form. They should be baked or made into stew. The diet for the treatment of the disease should include the following foods:

  • long biscuits, crackers or oven-dried bread,
  • milk, dairy products,
  • vegetable mucous soups,
  • pasta,
  • marmalade, marshmallow and marshmallows,
  • boiled meat or puree (chicken, turkey, rabbit, veal),
  • fish products
  • jam and honey
  • steamed omelet (the number of eggs for a week is three),
  • seafood,
  • peas, greens and sour berries,
  • vegetable oil,
  • jelly from non-acidic fruit, compotes, uzvar, tea.
Back to table of contents

Permissible products with low acidity

It must be remembered that the goal of therapy is to reduce the inflammatory process. Then they cause additional production of their own gastric juice. The list of products for patients with low acidity is as follows:

  • tea with low-fat cream and milk, lemon water with added sugar, berry and fruit non-acidic juices,
  • crackers made from white wheat varieties,
  • long cookies
  • moderate dose of butter,
  • nonfat cottage cheese, bought in the store,
  • boiled eggs,
  • steamed omelets
  • vegetable soups,
  • porridge,
  • boiled lean meat in the form of mashed potatoes,
  • steamed patties,
  • pasta,
  • lean fish,
  • greens and vegetables (it is necessary to exclude sorrel and spinach),
  • berries of sweet varieties,
  • Uzvar, compotes.

In the phased treatment of the mucous membranes of the stomach walls it is necessary to inject small amounts of food, stimulating the formation of gastric juice. In the diet add more raw, fresh vegetables and fruits. Chopped food is replaced with food with finely sliced.

If the therapy is positive, the menu should include proteins, vitamins E, B6 and food rich in iron, magnesium, and zinc. Food for gastritis should fully replenish the necessary supply and enzymes. Proper and healthy nutrition is the main component of patient treatment. Drug therapy is not essential for gastritis, but the attending physician may, at his own discretion, take pills as necessary substances for recovery and reinsurance.

Food for acute gastritis

Inflammation of the gastric mucosa is usually accompanied by abdominal pain and nausea. The acute phase of the disease is the most striking manifestation of the disease, requiring an immediate change in the way of life.

On the first day, the patient often has a reduced appetite due to pain. This is the right reaction of the body: during this period, it is worth refraining from eating so as not to aggravate the inflammation. You can drink liquids, preferably slightly warm water and tea.

On the second or third day, begin the so-called diet 1A (table number 1A). Acceptance of liquid food, dairy and cereal soups of viscous consistency, mashed meat and fish, soft-boiled eggs, a small amount of butter and olive oil, weak tea, decoctions, jelly, honey are allowed.

Prohibited fresh vegetables and fruits, meat broths, coffee, soda, dairy drinks, bakery and confectionery products, cheese. It is better to do without salt or add it in minimal quantities, you will have to completely forget about other spices: nothing spicy, spicy or sour should not get into the stomach.

Proper nutrition with exacerbation of gastritis - with a minimum load on the stomach, in small portions, five or more times a day. The more homogeneous and thinner the dish, the better. Food should not irritate the mucous. All dishes are boiled or steamed, eaten barely warm.

Sample menu for the week:

Breakfast: rice or semolina grated mash with a piece of butter, a glass of tea with milk.

Lunch: cottage cheese casserole or steamed cheese curd, a glass of milk.

Dinner: mashed meat with rice, compote or kissel from dried fruits.

Tea time: boiled egg, oatmeal kissel.

Dinner: mashed boiled fish, broth hips.

Before bedtime: a glass of milk.

The total caloric intake during this period does not exceed 2000 kcal. After removal of the main symptoms, the diet continues, up to the instructions of the doctor.

Nutrition during exacerbation of gastritis with high acidity

With gastritis, accompanied by increased acidity, dietary nutrition is based on the complete exclusion of products from the daily diet that can provoke an increase in the amount of gastric juice produced. Be sure to follow several nutritional guidelines if the disease has been identified:

  • Принимать пищу необходимо минимум 6 раз за день, между каждой трапезой перерыв не должен быть больше 3 часов.
  • During the day you need to drink at least 6 glasses of plain water.
  • The patient should not eat cold or hot food.
  • To avoid heartburn during gastritis, it is necessary to chew each piece of food thoroughly.
  • It is strictly forbidden to eat on the go, you need to forget about fast food (a variety of fast foods).
  • Virtually all consumed food must undergo heat treatment - the dish that will be steamed is ideal, you can bake meat (beef will do).
  • Nutrition in diagnosing the disease gastritis prohibits all hard fruits, and vegetables and meat should be wiped or chopped before eating.

When gastritis, accompanied by high acidity, daily meals may include the following products:

  • Soups with meatballs, pasta, cereals (the broth on which you cook, should be weak).

  • When gastritis food allows dairy products, cheese (dietary, non-spicy).
  • Sweet, soft fruits in their raw, baked or shredded form.
  • Ham, sausages, sausage (only dietary product).
  • Smoked, lean fish.
  • For gastritis, macaroni and cereals are useful (only well cooked).
  • Bread (stale, suitable yesterday or slightly dried).
  • Vegetable oils.
  • Butter (butter, ghee).
  • Berries (only sweet).
  • Jelly, mousse and souffle.
  • Cocoa and weak coffee.

In case of gastritis, if an increased level of acidity is determined, daily meals should exclude the following products:

  • A variety of carbonated drinks, alcohol.
  • Fresh bread, sweet pastries.
  • Strong tea, any coffee drinks.

Therapeutic diet for atrophic and erosive gastritis

Atrophic gastritis is characterized by a strong thinning of certain areas of the gastric mucosa, as well as a decrease in the number of glands responsible for the secretion of digestive juices. As a result of the lack of enzymes, cells are involved in the digestion process, which are not adapted to it. This leads to the fact that the gastric juice begins to mix with mucus and prevents splitting, as well as further processing of food.

Erosive gastritis is the most common form of the disease, the main feature of which is superficial damage to the gastric mucosa, manifested in the form of small erosions. But scientists have not been able to accurately determine the mechanism of erosion (foci of mucosal necrosis about 4 mm wide, which heal without the appearance of a scar).

Diet for erosive and atrophic gastritis is almost the same. Proper nutrition helps to significantly alleviate the patient’s condition and restore the normal functioning of the gastric mucosa in a relatively short period of time. If chronic atrophic gastritis was diagnosed, treatment should be combined with proper nutrition, which helps to restore the digestive tract (gastrointestinal tract).

Nutrition for this disease excludes such products:

  • Meat, fish (all fatty varieties), chicken with skins, caviar, smoked meats.

Baby food in the digestive tract

Children's diet for problems with the gastrointestinal tract (gastritis) has certain differences from the adult diet. A growing organism should receive vitamins and other valuable minerals in larger quantities, so it is necessary for the child to regularly give special dietary supplements (after the permission of the doctor). It is necessary to strictly observe the correct drinking regime and avoid “eating on the go.”

It is useful to give compotes and decoctions, cereals, related to the number of beneficial carbohydrates, but not having an irritating effect on the gastric mucosa.
